International business sales & acquisitions

Selling or buying a business, done properly.

We help owners prepare, value and sell their business — and help buyers find, assess and acquire the right one, across borders. Strategy-consulting rigour, complete discretion, and senior partners with you from first conversation to handover.

Our view

Most owners sell a business once in their lifetime. Most buyers only see the numbers the seller chooses to show them. A business sale is a strategy decision — not just a transaction — and both sides deserve advice of that calibre.

We bring together strategy consulting — the kind used by CEOs and boards to sharpen performance and plan growth — with hands-on support through every step of a sale or acquisition. We look past the headline price: what drives the value, what a buyer will question, what could go wrong after settlement, and how to fix it before it costs you.

Many of the best buyers for a business are in another country — and many of the best acquisitions are too. We connect owners and buyers across markets and manage what makes cross-border deals harder: accounting standards, legal systems, currencies, cultures and time zones.

A small number of mandates at a time. Senior attention on every one.

Services

From strategy through to settlement.

Six disciplines, one team. Engage us for a single piece — a valuation, a due diligence review — or for the whole journey from first idea to final handover.

i.

Valuation

A clear, defensible view of what the business is worth — and which levers would move that number before you go to market.

→
ii.

Exit readiness

Tidying up the financials, reducing owner dependency, documenting systems and contracts so the business stands up to scrutiny.

→
iii.

Confidential sale

Anonymous teaser, NDA-protected information memorandum and a managed process with vetted buyers only.

→
iv.

Buy-side search

We define what “right” looks like for you, then search listed and off-market opportunities against those criteria.

→
v.

Due diligence

Commercial and operational review: customers, margins, people, systems and risks — the things the accounts don’t tell you.

→
vi.

Cross-border deals

Finding buyers and targets abroad, aligning financials across standards, and coordinating lawyers, accountants and tax advisers in each country.

Company formation in Croatia

Your gateway into the European Union.

We also help international entrepreneurs and companies establish a business in Croatia — an EU member state in the eurozone and the Schengen area, with access to the entire EU single market.

A company registered in Croatia is an EU company. Depending on its activity, size and location, it may be eligible to apply for grants and incentives co-financed by the European Union and the Croatian government.

01

Setting up the company

  • Choosing the right legal form, usually a limited liability company (d.o.o.)
  • Company registration, tax number (OIB) and business bank account
  • Coordination with notaries, lawyers and accountants in Croatia
  • Registered office, VAT registration and first operating steps
02

Access to EU funding

  • Identifying EU and national grant programmes that fit your plans
  • Eligibility check before you commit time and money
  • Business plan and project preparation for the application
  • Support through implementation and reporting
03

Growing from Croatia

  • Market entry strategy for Croatia and the wider region
  • Acquiring an existing Croatian business instead of starting from zero
  • Finding local partners, premises and people
  • One team for strategy, formation and funding

Grants are awarded through public calls with their own rules, deadlines and limited budgets. We assess eligibility honestly and never promise an outcome that depends on the awarding authority.

The process

Six stages, one steady hand.

Timing depends on the business and the market. At the first meeting we give you a realistic plan — and we tell you honestly if now is not the right time.

STAGE 01

First meeting

Your goals, timing and concerns. Confidential, no cost, no obligation.

STAGE 02

Review & value

We analyse and benchmark the business and agree a value range and strategy.

STAGE 03

Prepare

Information memorandum, normalised financials and the fixes that build buyer confidence.

STAGE 04

Approach

Anonymous teaser to targeted buyers. Details only after NDA and qualification.

STAGE 05

Negotiate

Offers, heads of agreement and due diligence, with your advisers in each country.

STAGE 06

Handover

Completion, then a structured transition for staff, customers and suppliers.

Discretion

Your staff, customers and competitors won’t hear it from us.

Discretion is the first thing every owner asks about — rightly so. Every engagement is built around it, from the first email to the day of completion.

Anonymous first contactBuyers see a profile of the business — never its name.

NDA before detailsDetailed information only after a signed confidentiality agreement.

Qualified buyers onlyWe verify each buyer’s intent and capacity before any introduction.

You approve every stepNothing reaches a buyer without your sign-off.

Opportunities

A private register, not a public list.

Opportunities are never advertised openly. They are shared privately with registered buyers whose criteria match — industry, countries, size and budget — and only after an NDA.

The partners

The people on your side of the table.

A partner-led firm. The people you meet at the first conversation are the people who run your mandate — from valuation to handover.

i.

Strategy consulting

Backgrounds in global strategy consulting, advising CEOs, senior executives and boards on their most important decisions.

ii.

Operating experience

Experience leading and owning companies — we know what it means to build a business, not just analyse one.

iii.

Investor perspective

We look at every business the way a serious buyer will, so there are no surprises in due diligence.

iv.

International outlook

We work across markets and coordinate trusted local advisers wherever a deal takes us.

Questions

Before you get in touch.

Does the first meeting cost anything?

No. The first conversation is confidential and free of charge. We will tell you honestly whether we can help and what the next step would be.

How long does it take to sell a business?

It depends on the size and readiness of the business and on the market. We give you a realistic timeline after reviewing your business, and preparation done early usually shortens it.

Do you work across borders?

Yes — that is a core part of what we do. We approach buyers and targets internationally and coordinate local legal, tax and accounting advisers in each jurisdiction involved.

Do you work with my accountant and lawyer?

Yes. We coordinate the process and work alongside your existing advisers — we don’t replace them.

Can you help us set up a company in Croatia?

Yes. We guide international entrepreneurs and companies through forming a Croatian company, coordinate the notary, lawyer and accountant, and check which EU and national grant programmes the new company could apply for.

I am a buyer — can I see what is for sale?

Join the buyer register through the form below. Once you have signed an NDA we share opportunities that match your criteria.

Your details are kept strictly confidential and used only to respond to your enquiry.
